Hi Ben,
FB on J5 and TT. Both have been quite rare until these dxpeditions.
I'll be glad to clarify Clublog and OQRS QSLing for the club here.
It's a great system that basically works like this.
A dxpedition like J51A registers their upcoming operation on Clublog.org. At this point, they can opt whether or not to offer livestreaming (real time logging, if you work them, you will see your call scroll by in a minute or so in real time by clicking on the Livestream link for them in Clublog), and QSO ordering via the OQRS system. Also, the dxpedition normally includes a call search function, you type your call in, and a grid will come up showing all of your QSOs that are in the dxpedition's log.
OQRS offers instant ordering of your confirmations via a secure portal in the Clublog website. Nominally, the dxpedition will set it up for $5 or 5Euros, which gets you rapid LotW + a paper card mailed to you later for up to 10 QSOs.
The amount is not standard, and is up to each dxpedition's discretion.
Reportedly, the 3Y0K operation cost north of $1,700,000, including a helicopter, icebreaking ship transport to the sub-Antarctic, shipping containers, plus food etc for the live participants. I heard the individual cost per live operator (there were also many remote operators) was around $200,000 !
Note that 3Y0K does not have OQRS activated yet. This is because they are so remote, and weeks away from getting back to civilization from the sub-Antarctic. They do have log search working though.
