Great rig, I have two of them. BUT - they have no front-end protection from
static discharges. I lost PIN diodes twice until I put a choke across the
mobile antenna terminals. Yes, my antenna was hitting things, but wind
across the antenna can also create static voltages. Easy to install on most
mobile antennas, for home use, use a UHF tee or small box at the SO239 or
inline with an RF choke connected across it.
