[GCARC] Problem with HamShack

I had the same problem with high SWR.  I just took them out of line,  and I'm probably gonna sell them at the ham fest.

Almost sounds like the problems are the elbows. For troubleshooting, can you try using a straight barrel connector and see if the problem reoccurs with the barrels. If not. It's definitely the elbows. If it does reoccur, then something is up with the bulkhead.

To me, it sounds like marginal RFI under "normal" conditions. Adding 90 deg
adapters will change the routing of cables. On HF frequencies, loss and
stray reactance should be negligible. As Al said, try better grounding.
