I am forwarding this from FRC, in case anyone in GCARC is interested in
this offer for TWO of the classic Yaesu FT-1000mp transceivers, at a great
price. These radios are from the shack of a very good friend of mine, so I
can assure you that they will operate as intended. The FT-1000 series were
arguably the finest HF radios that Yaesu ever produced. They are large,
heavy, and have a lot of knobs and switches. The quality level is far above
that of any of the mass produced menu driven trinkets of today. These are
real superheterodyne receivers, with real crystal filters in the IFs. The
complement of filters in these particular radios is so good that they may
be worth more than the radios themselves. These radios sound great on the
air, and sound even better in the headphones. They have a real
sub-receiver, which is basically a complete second receiver. The
performance of these radios was achieved through superior engineering, not
magic tricks performed with proprietary software. If you value quality
equipment, built with the best quality materials, you will not be
disappointed with these transceivers.

These are the original 1000mp 100-watt radio. They are not D, nor Mark V,
nor Mark V Field units.
