[GCARC] Is ICON-7300 a good radio to use with MAC?

Hello,

   I know the ICOM 7300 is not a new radio.  There are some good deals on
it right now (apx $1000) and I wanted to know if anyone in the club has one
and whether they'd recommend it.

   It will work with an app called SDR control for Icom that is on the APP
store.

  I also looked at FLEX radios, but saw a not favorable review of the Flex
8400M on eham.net which has me looking elsewhere.  It does seem that Flex
Radio is supported by mac os apps.

Thoughts & suggestions are appreciated.
