[GCARC] question for club: 2 sided or 1 sided QSL cards

A couple of things of which you need to be aware...
1. Make sure that if you put your mailing address on the card, it cannot
be mistaken for the address to which you are mailing the card. Automated
postal equipment will often make that mistake, which results in your mailed
cards showing up delivered -- to your mailbox!
2. To help prevent that error from happening, do not just drop outbound
QSL cards in a postal drop box. Instead, take them to the counter in a
post office and have the postal clerk hand cancel the cards. That
bypasses the automatic system and helps to ensure that the cards go where
you intend for them to go.
I learned this the hard way... but my next-door neighbor is the local
postal clerk. She is the one who told me how to do this... and it works.
I have not had a single card misdelivered since I started having them
hand-cancelled this way.
