With the change in the weather forecast there won't be any EME operation tonight. Tomorrow looks better so we'll probably give it a try when the moon rises around 6 PM.

The second weekend of the EME contest is this weekend, starting Friday night at 7 PM EST. The moon will have already risen and be at about 15 degrees elevation so contacts should be possible immediately. Optimal operating time will be from 10 PM until about 2 AM with actual operating time determined by operator stamina. The moon will set at about 7 AM on Saturday precluding any morning operating. Moonrise on Saturday is around 6 PM but rain is possible that day so operating may be curtailed. The best time to view the station in operation will be mid to late evening on Friday, with hopefully good weather and operating conditions. Come on out if you want to see radio signals bounced off of the moon!
