[GCARC] DoD <-> HAM crossband radio activity

I managed to work NIIW (USS Midway, San Diego, CA) on 20 Meter phone and NSS (US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD) on 80 Meter CW.
But I blew my chance to work WAR (Pentagon) which had a strong USB signal Saturday afternoon on 5357.0 kHz because I kept waiting for the operator to give his listening frequency.
What a mistake! I later realized this is one of our authorized channels in the 60 meter band so I could have called on his TX frequency. DUH!

I found NSS at 5.332 Mhz. I think I scared him when I called him.
I was using my 40 / 20 meter dipole with just the TS590SG's tuner. Just a little RF at the station.

here a quick link that will show frequencies where they are actually being found and spotted:
http://dxsummit.fi/#/?dx_calls=nitg,nemw,niiw,aac,afm4npd,aga2sy,war,usbaan,griffin1,nss,nwkj,aam3d,naf,nbgc,nepm,aaz,adb,aga5sc,aga0wj,aga9tr,nepp,nmc1,nwvc
For example, on 4.0415 Mhz I am hearing NSS calling CQ in LSB, but I don't have 80M antenna at home to reply on 3.812 as he is asking for.
Daytime prop conditions are bad at my house to most of the others on the air right now.
Will check again after dinner today.
Good luck
