No... the Quansheng UV-K5(8) will *receive* the air band (118-130MHz) as it
has AM RX capability, but it *does not* have TX capability at all. I have
two copies of this radio, one with the EGZUMER firmware and one with the
factory firmware. Both radios have the air band available as an RX-only
function. The basic issue with TX here is that the radio has no AM
transmitter built into the set.
