[GCARC] Amateur Radio & Emergency Communications RESCHEDULED to 9/21

This session has been rescheduled for NEXT Saturday September 21 but unfortunately we didn't change the calendar. This session is primarily focused on PERSONAL communications during emergency situations; it's not focused on GROUP activities such as ARES. It will cover topics such as 2 meter simplex operation when repeaters aren't available, the need for HF licensure and equipment for communicating outside the range of 2 meter radios, the use of DMR radios with and without internet access and Winlink digital communications when the internet is and isn't available. A particular group of members is interested in this topic but others are free to attend. Another announcement will be made next week.
