Tomorrow is Tech Saturday and several activities will be happening at the Clubhouse. First, the participants who are signed up for the antenna building session will be working at the main table with Chris AD2CS on building that antenna starting at 9 AM. Construction sessions generally run longer than normal Tech Saturday presentations so that area will probably busy until around noon. But there are other areas of the clubhouse that are available for discussions and other activities so club members should feel free to drop by.
There's a Greencube satellite pass starting around 10:30 and lasting for about an hour so anyone interested in satellite communications should plan to be in the VHF/satellite room at that time to see what's going on.
Also, the ARRL VHF Contest starts at 2 PM and we'll be working with that station to get it set up for the contest. The VHF equipment is all new, having been grant funded by the ARDC, and we're eager to get it in use by many club members. While its use is still limited by the absence of antennas for some bands (which will be cured when the VHF towers are in place) there's still plenty of activity on the 6, 2, 220 and 440 bands for which we do have temporary antennas.
Finally the HF station will be available for local operate as it is on all Tech Saturday mornings, so if you'd like to check out some HF operation this is a good opportunity.
Hope to see you there tomorrow!
