[GCARC] SMT Soldering Class - 8 July 2024

OK Folks...  As promised, I have the final numbers for the Advanced SMT
Soldering Class project scheduled to be run on Monday evening, 8 July
2024.  In this class, we will be building a 20W Dry Resistive QRP Dummy
Load using predominantly SMT devices.  Don't get scared by the idea...
these are LARGE SMT components deliberately chosen to be easy to work with
to develop the soldering skill needed for working with surface
mount devices.

The per-seat cost to the attendees will be a nice round twenty dollars
($20.00).  This will include all supplies and materials needed for the
build, and you will leave there with a working dummy load.

At this point, I have a grand total of FIVE confirmed attendees.  There
HAVE to be some more Club members interested in this topic.  Maybe you were
waiting to see the cost.  Well, that factor is now resolved.

If you want to attend this session, PLEASE send me an e-mail as soon as
possible so that I can ensure that I have enough materials ordered in to
meet the demand.  Remember, I designed a custom printed circuit board for
this project, and I need *some* time to get the boards produced and shipped
to me.  It also takes the better part of a week to bring in the other
supplies, depending upon when they are ordered.  I do not want to just
order in anticipation of having a certain number of participants, because
that is wasteful of Club funds.  As a result, I *really* need to know
exactly how many attendees we will have.
