We have a few takers for Meteor Scatter operating so I'll be at the clubhouse by 6 AM to get the station running (thanks to Al and Frank for setting up the 6 meter amp). Meteor scatter uses the MSK144 mode from the WSJT-X suite of programs and is described in the article below for those into the details. Transmissions alternate from 15 seconds on and off and the QSO, once initiated, is automatic as in other WSJT modes. Success depends on local stations transmitting on the same interval; otherwise nobody can hear distant stations so hopefully stations local to us will abide by that convention (which didn't happen last time we tried this...). Station activity can be viewed in PSKreporter (link below). Most meteor scatter operation occurs on 6 and 2 meters.

Operations are best in the early AM so we expect to shut down around 9 AM, or earlier if we're not getting any responses, so come early if you want to see anything happen. Don't expect much excitement - we only made 4 QSOs in November on that meteor shower - but it is pretty cool when it works.
