For those attending tomorrow's session with DMR radios you may want to program some codeplug entries that will allow you to participate in some of the exercises. We'll be showing how to set up "private calls" from one radio to another using the Brandmeister network to automatically locate the destination radio and we'll be using the two different hotspots at the clubhouse to do it, so you might want to set up several code plugs with those frequencies and with the callsigns of some other participants. You'll need the frequencies of the hotspots and the callsigns and DMR IDs of other stations. Here are the hotspot freqs:

Hotspot 1: Receive on 442.5, transmit on 447.5 - low power
Hotspot 2: Transmit and receive on 432.74 - low power

Add the following operators and DMR IDs to your talk group list, then assign them to channels for each hotspot:

AD2CS: 3195449
K2QA: 3110610
W2LJR: 3186225
WB2MNF: 3163415
K2LJR: 3196243

You might also want to program a simplex freq with the same callsigns for testing simplex private calls. Use 433.45000 as the simplex frequency.

Don't forget to add those channels to zones or you won't be able to access them.

There's a lot of other cools stuff that you might want to try - if so bring your laptop and programming cable so that you can change the parameters to allow it.

Finally - if you have a DMR radio but won't be coming to Tech Saturday try private calling me, Chris or Len from wherever you are, beginning around 9 AM. That ought to work

Hope to see a large group tomorrow!
