Subject: Special Event Station at New Jersey Knights of Columbus Convention in Wildwood, NJ

Special Event Station K0C is in operation throughout New Jersey,
celebrating the 127th convention of the New Jersey Knights of Columbus. 
Approximately 12 of us are operating under K0C/C, K0C/N, K0C/T, K0C/P
and K0C/M, abbreviations for the five Catholic Dioceses within the state
of New Jersey.  We hope to operate at the convention itself, which will
be held on May 19-20 at the Wildwood Convention Center, located in
Wildwood, NJ.

I have spoken with our incoming State Deputy, the highest ranking state
officer in our Order, and he encouraged me to invite any and all of you
to visit our (hopeful) setup in Convention Hall.  Hopeful, because we
are unsure if we will be able to run coax outside, or if we will have to
operate outdoors.

If you believe you will be in attendance at the convention, I invite you
to attend Saturday after 10:00 A.M. and see our setup.  The convention
will adjourn by 2:00 P.M.

If you have any ARRL information (folders, fliers, etc.), I encourage
you to bring them with you for distribution.

Our diocesan newspaper, the Catholic Star Herald, did a story on the
Special Event Station.  I am in the process of contacting the local
television stations to likewise inform them of what we are doing.

If you wish, I encourage you to join the Knights of Columbus.  There are
links to join on our QRZ page.  If you are already a Third Degree
Knight, you will be permitted access to the convention itself.  If so,
please bring your current Third Degree membership card with you to the
convention.
