for those that run WSJT-X software, there's a mode in there called MSK144.
Some of you may already have tried it on 6 meters or 2 meters.
Meteor trails ( even passing airplanes! ) from time to time can allow qso
to be made.
If not heard of meteor scatter comms before, a couple of quick Google
search, or this link might help:

"introduction to meteor scatter"

Anyway,
just reading at spaceweather.com that there is an upcoming chance for
higher than usual meteors to be available this weekend, if wanted to give
it a try.

copy/paste from

*METEORS FROM HALLEY'S COMET: *Earth is entering a stream of debris
<https://spaceweathergallery2.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=195795> from
Halley's Comet, source of the annual eta Aquariid meteor shower. Peak rates
of 10 to 30 meteors per hour are expected on the night of May 6-7. Glare
from a nearly full Moon will reduce visibility, but this could be offset by
an extra dose of meteoroids nudged toward Earth by the gravity of Jupiter. Full

good luck if you do try!
Jim
