Tony,

I'll stop by Thursday evening. What time?

Ron, NR2B

Jon (and all),

I have to agree with Jim on this one. There is probably a greater chance of an issue coming up prior to the start of either Field Day or the Wine Festival than during the events. We will begin setting up on Friday afternoon, and since we have never used the site in this configuration before, we will also be out there on Thursday evening to stake out the antenna locations for the various stations. If someone from outside the club approaches me with an issue at either of those times, and either you or Ron are not there, I am not so sure it will be possible to avoid interaction with them. Those kinds of issues usually require immediate action to resolve, so you better plan on being out there, or delegate someone who is out there to act on your behalf.

And to all of you band captains, your antenna location will be marked by a stake when you arrive. This is the location where your mast should be located, or in the case of an end-supported dipole, your center feed point should be. You do not need to put your shelter near that location. If you have enough coax, you can put it anywhere on the site that does not interfere with other stations or antennas. Just be mindful of your coax routing when you do this. We are planning to have another great Field Day, so start praying for good weather now if you can. Remember, bring your 2m HT set to 147.54 for assistance and notifications. 73 for now.
