You may be noticing this radio, discontinued, is now being sold by hams in all the usual places and the price, as has been the case, is way over what it sold when it was new.  In the last year, seeing this rig posted was a rare occurrence.  The reason, of course, is that the TH-D75A was introduced at Dayton a couple of weeks ago.  These guys know as soon as that radio becomes available the price of the TH-D74A will collapse.  I humbly suggest you keep your powder dry and wait for the new one to go on sale.  The new radio could be out by Labor Day and will be cheaper than what they're asking for the TH-D74a
