[GCARC] audacity question - how to save a wav while with 2 signals as an mp3 with only one of the signals

Hello,

   I have a wav file with 2 signals.  One is a timing signal and the other
is the signal I want to keep and save as an mp3 file.

Does anyone know how to do that?
