[GCARC] Digital questions

I have an Icom IC-746 (non-pro).  I have it set up on my raspberry pi 400
using an USB sound card and a cat cable, also USB.  I can do Ft8 without
difficulty.  I am trying to figure out bpsk31 using fldigi and flrig.  I
have not had success.  Is the signalink sound device something I'm
missing?  The internet is loaded with conflicting info.  I'm hoping someone
here can step me on the right path.
