Subject: [GCARC] Satellite and RTTY at the Clubhouse on Saturday

Saturday looks like an interesting day for operating some non-traditional modes at the Clubhouse. There are a number of good satellite passes between 9 AM and 2 PM including a few new satellites launched since the station was shut down last year. I’ll be at the Clubhouse by 9 to catch a 9:03 ISS FM pass that also may be high enough to be heard on an HT (downlink on 437.800 mhz).

In particular the Greencube satellite will make a 41 degree elevation pass around 1:10 PM.  This is a new satellite with store-and-forward capabilities. I haven’t researched this one yet so if anyone is interested in checking it out the documentation is here: https://www.s5lab.space/index.php/digipeater/

In between passes we’ll fire up the Flex 3000 in the HF room and see what we can work on the CQ WPX RTTY contest.  It’s not Tech Saturday but there’s still activity on Saturday at the Clubhouse!
