[GCARC] First Zoom Meeting/A Few Words From SFL

Good evening fellow GCARC members,

I've been a club member since 4Q/2022. Last night was my first chance to
attend a meeting. (I tried to announce myself when new Zoom attendees were
called on, but I couldn't "break through the pile-up" before Jon QSY'ed, hi
hi.) I want to compliment the officers and club at how well run and
entertaining the meeting was. You guys are, without a doubt, a class act.
It's a pleasure to be a member.

 

As my STM title would imply, I'm active in the National Traffic System.
Using the monthly Crosstalk listings, I've sent congratulatory radiograms to
the new and upgraded hams. I've received responses from at least a few with
words of thanks, so it's good to see the NTS is working in the SNJ section.
As time allows each month, I'll continue to welcome our new SNJ amateurs via
formal traffic. And if anyone in the club is active in the NTS or is
interested in becoming involved, please drop me a note.
