TORNADO THREAT EXPANDED TO THE COAST

TIMEFRAME: 9pm-4am

Yesterday the 5% was just around Washington & Baltimore. It expanded to cover northern DE last night and now pretty much our entire viewing area. with the exception of the coast. IF the dynamics look like they do now by late afternoon, I fully expected a Tornaod watch (second in a week) to be issued for at least a portion of the area. 

This is a NIGHTTIME threat. I'm going to be a little more pushy with getting people informed on this through the day because these storms could very well come through during the wee hours of the morning...so please make sure your phone is turned on and sound is up in the event a warning is issued. 

We've had 13 tornadoes in New Jersey this Summer. 11 have occurred in a 2 or 5% chance. I take this seriously. You should too. 

Now I'm not sitting here telling you this IS going to happen. That's not how it works. But I am telling you it's POSSIBLE based on the data I'm looking at and I need you to be weather aware. Pass it on.
