Tonight is the weekly Skywarn Net @ 1930 Hours and the ARES Net @ 2000 Hours
on the 2M Repeater / Echolink W2MMD-R. These may be cancelled because of the
holiday.

 

Tuesday is the weekly Tuesday Noon Day 2M Rag Chew Net @ 1200 Hours on the
2M Repeater / Echolink W2MMD-R.

 

Tuesday is also the weekly 10M Rag Chew Net @ 2000 Hours on 28.465 MHz.

 

Wednesday, September 7, 2022 is our monthly General Membership Meeting at
the Pfeiffer Community Center and on ZOOM @ 1930 Hours. Everyone is welcome.

 

Thursday night is the weekly 2M Rag Chew Net @ 2000 Hours on the 2M Repeater
/ Echolink W2MMD-R.

 

Thursday is also the monthly VE license testing session at our W2MMD
Clubhouse @ 1900 Hours.

 

Saturday, September 10, 2022 is our monthly Tech Saturday Forum @ 0900 Hours
at our W2MMD Clubhouse. Everyone is welcome.

6 DAYS UNTIL THE HAMFEST!!! Please promote our Hamfest on any nets that you
check in to!

 

I just uploaded the latest hamfest flier to the 2022 Hamfest page. It
features the Grand Prize of $200.00 and two (2), yes 2 BTECH UV-5X3 HTs
donated by Baofeng TECH. The UV-5X3 is a tri-band HT covering 144/220/430
MHz. It includes two antennas, charger, 2 batteries, and more.

 

If you go on any social media sites to promote our hamfest, please tag BTECH
on Instagram: @btech_radios and on Facebook: @baofeng.tech.radio

 

And if that is not enough, Chris AD2CS starts round 3 of the Amateur Radio
Test Prep Classes on Monday, September 12, 2022 @ 1800 Hours at our W2MMD
Clubhouse. Same schedule as before, Tech on Monday, General on Tuesday, and
Extra on Friday. The classes will go for 8 weeks with the testing week
starting on November 7th.

 

WHEW! I am exhausted from just typing all this.

 

The Hamfest is the biggest and most public event of the year for our Club.
So everyone come on out and show your Club spirit! If you have one of those
yellow staff t-shirts, wear it! Show everyone that this is a great Club to
belong to.
