The Hamfest is just one week away, and we still have a need for help in
several areas.  First, is there any member who is planning to attend who is
qualified to do DXCC card checking? We have had requests for this service,
but neither I nor Sheldon know who in our club can do this.  If you are a

K2MEN, as soon as possible.

For all of the regular jobs that anyone can do, like parking, gate ticket
sales, or Saturday 6PM setup, we still have a need for more help in all of
those areas. We have sent out emails and asked for help in Crosstalk, but
so far the response has been underwhelming. There may be some of you who
have seen those emails, and as a result, have made plans to come out and
help, but we need to hear from you if you have not contacted Sheldon
already. We cannot plan the event based on whoever shows up. It is of the
utmost importance that Sheldon knows in advance who will be coming out, and
when. If you have no preference on what job you want to do, that is even
better, because we can then fill in staffing holes where needed.

I have stated my position on this already, but I want to take this
opportunity to once more state that I consider the hamfest, more than any
other club event, to be an all hands on deck event. If you are available,
and physically able to come and help, your club really needs you to make
this event a success. If you have not signed up with Sheldon, but are able
to help out, please contact him and let him know when you can come out,
either Saturday at 6PM for setup, or on Sunday morning, as this need not
tie up your entire weekend. We have what has become one of the biggest and
most popular hamfests in the area. The only way we can keep it that way is
for all of us to pitch in anyway that we can. It is the only way we can do
this.

I am looking forward to a great hamfest, with a great turnout from our
membership, but please reach out and let us know that we can count on you.
