[GCARC] Need some antenna help

I don't really know anything about the WIRES-X system, but any VHF antennas
that are 10 feet apart are too close together for simultaneous in-band
operation. The fact that you are having problems without even transmitting
sort of confirms this, unless there is some other problem with your digital
equipment. I can de-sense my 2m transceiver with a kilowatt of HF power,
simply because my antennas are close together.  You don't necessarily need
to get rid of any radios, but you may not be able to use more than one of
them at a time,  Good antenna switches that ground the coax when not in use
can prevent front end damage, and yes, it can happen even with the radio
turned off if you couple enough RF into the input.
