This training event (discovered by Doug KD2VQA) is not only an opportunity to serve our communities but also an opportunity to provide Emergency Radio Communications to the American Red Cross in the future, when commercial telephone, internet and electricity is disrupted.


The American Red Cross, Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing. DAT members will often provide comfort and care to those in need.



The American Red Cross will be conducting training for anyone interested in becoming a member of the Disaster Action Team, on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Washington Township Fire Department (213 E Holly Ave, Sewell, NJ 08080). The event will start at 9 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
