Today we received the QSL from the Field Day QSO with the International Space Station. They graciously sent us two copies, correctly expecting that we’ll want to frame it with both sides visible (I’m heading to Hobby Lobby for a frame in a few minutes!). You can view the card here https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aok5NmGzzrC8jDcQmSUcSshI52tY?e=Q1P99z and it will be on the Clubhouse wall by the weekend.

Interestingly the operator was Kjell Lindgren MD who holds a General class license (many astronauts only have Technician licenses) and has amazing credentials. He’s an Air Force Academy graduate and an emergency medicine doc with at least two additional Master’s degrees. This appears to be his third space mission. In addition to Field Day operations it also appears that he enjoys firing up the ISS ham station and chatting with hams in whatever spare time astronauts get. You can read his bio here if you’re interested. https://www.nasa.gov/astronauts/biographies/kjell-n-lindgren/biography
