Subject: ARRL VHF contest January 15-16

The annual ARRL VHF contest is just around the corner. Last year, 15 GCARC
members signed up and a good time was had by all. You don't need to be an
experienced contester to participate. I used FT8 last year for a few hours
each day. WSJT-X can log and convert your entry to Cabrillo format easily
for electronic submission. But, all legal modes are permitted. The contest
begins at 1900 UTC Saturday and ends 0359 UTC Monday.

All participants must be registered in advance for the contest so, just
provide me your name and call by Thursday, January 13 and I will arrange to
upload it to the ARRL.

I will send out WSJT setup info next week for those who request it. Rules
can be found on the ARRL site. If the link doesn't get stripped, just use
this. <http://arrl.org/january-vhf> January VHF (arrl.org)
