Vinnie,
Yes, 10 meters has been great lately. In the past six months, i have
nearly doubled my 10m DXCC numbers. Just this past week I worked VK9
Norfolk Island. The sunspot numbers for Cycle 25 are already a year or two
ahead of the best predictions, and we are NOWHERE NEAR THE PEAK! This
Field Day should be absolutely great compared to the past couple of years,
so it is more important than ever that we sign up enough operators to make
it happen. We have put on a great show the past couple of years, but this
one promises to eclipse those efforts by a significant amount, due to
increased propagation.
I cannot stress this enough, we are looking for operators. Phone, CW, or
digital, we plan to have it all going on this Field Day, so please try to
make it out to the event. We always have a great time, and having good
band conditions will just make it all that much better. SJRA (K2AA) is
planning on going back to a full-on field operation, but they have no
momentum, as a result of two years of half-hearted effort, so this is our
chance to deny them the opportunity to once again dominate the section. We
are on a roll from last year, and we can keep it rolling. Let's get out
there and take advantage of these improved conditions and keep W2MMD at the
top of the section listings like we were last year. We have already proven
that we can have a great time and still dominate the section and class.
Let's do it again!
