Hi - I have a TimeWave ANC-4 Noise Phaser
<http://old.timewave.com/support/ANC-4/anc4.html> I'd like to sell for
$150, pick up from my QTH in Haddon Township. It includes a short wire
noise antenna suitable for in-shack RFI.

This is an invaluable piece of kit for when you can't eliminate close by
RFI. In suburbia, there's always noise you can null out. I've seen this
machine work wonders with noise I haven't been able to eliminate, and I've
seen it do nothing to ignition noise from a near-by leaf blower. That's the
vagaries of noise phasing, noise antennas, and such.

It works great to phase and null out any noise within 1 wavelength of the
main and noise antenna. I use a 40m hamstick shoved into a bush at the
corner of my property as a noise antenna. It does have a built in AM
broadcast filter which can help if you don't have AM filtering in your
signal path.

I'm selling because my station has evolved to where I am using a DX
Engineering NCC-2 with a much more complex receiving system. It's the same
principle but with more bells and whistles and a higher price tag.
(preamps, attenuators, phase balancing, and MODULE ADD-ONS FOR FILTERS!)

There's a lot written on noise phasers. If you understand the noise you're
trying to get rid of, and put a little thought into it, you will have a lot
of success. Also this box needs to be well grounded to your station ground
due to capacitive detuning(?). It didn't work well until I grounded it.
Read the manual, folks.
