GCARC members, please see the below message I received today.  If any
one in the group can help out the fellow ham listed in the message,
please do.

I've also put out the call for help to the Battleship guys.

Harry:

I am writing to you on behalf of Steven Marrano, KC2VNI, in Atco, NJ.
Steven sent me an email after he read my article about George, NP2N (in
the June QST, pp. 64-65), getting back on the air after a stroke.

Steven said that he also had had a stroke and was hoping to find help
setting up his rig.  Based on my experience with George, I am surmising
that he is in an assisted living care center and under severe physical
limitations.  His emails are brief and show some difficulty in typing.
He did send his phone number: 856-768-6556 and said I could share it
with others.  His email is steve at smarrano.com.

Would it be possible for you or another member of the BattleShip New
Jersey ARC to phone Steve and offer him some encouragement?  I have
asked George to call him, as well; we are planning another Field Day
operation from his local care center here in Ames, remotely transmitting
from an antenna a few miles away.

73 and thank you in advance.

C. K. Walter
