That's correct. On the clubhouse side of the driveway. Next to the old wooden pole that holds the end of the 80m dipole. Basically where Jeff KD2AZI parked his camper last year.
Thx,

I thought he was talking about the side of the road that the trailer is on, but across from Herb. If it is Tony's spot, then it's also too close to our 40 SSB spot.

Yep, that is the spot. Our AB-577 mast is on the right side of the gravel
road, in line with the old wooden pole. My camper is 50 ft from the mast,
back and to the left of it, right next to the road. There is very little
room to move due to the shortness of my generator cord and the 100 foot
coax runs that we use, which use up half their length going up the mast.

Jon,
Check with Tony K3TS for the exact location of our 20/80m CW setup with
his camper. We normally put up our 50ft AB-577 mast on the rear side of the
gravel road and use the pole for the southern tieoff point for the 80m
dipole.

As far as i know, that location was not being used last year.

While we were working on the satellite antennas at the clubhouse
yesterday the satellite team also scoped out the best location for the
station for Field Day. The optimal location is where we have the best 360
degree view of the sky – where the clubhouse and trees are the lowest angle
from the ground. It looks like that’s on the northeast side of the
clubhouse about midway between the large tree and the pole on the clubhouse
side of the gravel road. That’s about across the gravel road from where
Herb was set up last year. It’s better than where we were last year where
the treeline covered about 45 degrees of elevation to the east.
If it’s ok with others can we claim that spot for that station?
Thanks
