Barry Feierman K3EUI Discusses "Beyond FT8: A Basic Overview of Digital
Modes And Trade-Off's" As Part of The FLARC 2021 Kawfee Tawk Speaker Series
On Friday, June 11th Via Zoom .
A recent audit by HamLog reported that over two-thirds of all recent QSOs
were via either FT8 or FT4. But there are many different digital modes used
in amateur radio. Yes, most of us have heard or used some of the popular
ones like FT8/4 and PSK-31. But what about the others? What are they good
for? Barry Feierman K3EUI will take a deep-dive into the characteristics and
uses of "the other" digital modes as The Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club
(FLARC) continues its highly acclaimed series of monthly speaker programs
with one of the experts in digital communications providing a basic overview
to using those often[1]underutilized digital modes and their advantages. The
program is to be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 7:30 PM EDT via Zoom.
