Here’s a project for anyone interested in tracking satellites (perhaps the ISS during SSTV events or when there are visual passes) but who doesn’t want to be tied to a computer to do it. It uses a Raspberry Pi computer that track the selected satellite and announce on speakers or texts you when it’s overhead. It looks pretty neat and I might build one for the clubhouse. If you’re interested in building one but aren’t familiar with using a Pi or some of the programming required let me know and we can schedule some Tech Saturday time to review the project.
