All,
Gary WA3SVW and Bob KD2NEC are starting a “Digital Training Net” on Monday nights at 1900 local time (7pm), on the club’s 147.180 MHz repeater, +0.6 MHz, pl 131.8 Hz.
The purpose of this Net is to:
1. Introdue more amateur radio operators to digital modes such as MT63, PSK31, RTTY, Olivea and many others.
2. Dedicate more “on-air” time for practicing with digital modes, to become and remain proficient and prepared for emergencies.
The first session this Monday, will focus on the installation and setup of FLDIGI and FLMSG, that are the framework for using these digital modes. Gary will be doing the presentation. If you are interested in joining us, contact Gary or I and we can send you a copy of the slides that he will be using.
If you know someone that is not a member of GCARC but might be interested, please feel free to forward this message.
73, de Bob KD2NEC
