I think the history of this dxcc entity is fascinating. It's status is a religious republic, along the lines of the Vatican. It's the last existing functioning part of the Byzantine Empire, which collapsed almost 600yrs ago. The mountain monasteries were easily defended so apparently left alone over the years!
