Hi All,
Unknown to me, a number of requests to change the rules this year have already been made and rejected by the powers that be at ARRL.
This was confirmed in the email I received back from Hudson ARRL Director N2RJ Ria Jairam tonigh.

I am sorry but despite my and several other Directors repeated pleas
to have the rules amended to allow these kinds of operations, the ARRL
Programs and Services Committee remained firm on its decision to not
change the rules, period. There is simply not majority support to
amend the rules for this year.

At this point I am telling clubs to find creative and innovative ways
to operate. This includes internet or wifi remote bases set up at
field day sites. Note that the transmitters and antennas have to be
within 1000 feet but NOT the operators.

There will be a non-ARRL tally of affiliated club scores. I was told
that ARRL may make a CSV of the scores available with club names.
However, club rankings won't be published in QST.
