[GCARC] Fwd: Hamvention cancelled

My daughter teaches indoor High School Winter Guard.Dayton is the site of the International Championshipsat the University there over a week-long on two separate weekends. The town is closed to all outside groups from having their competitions there. Thatis big money lost for the motels, the restaurants,and the groups who have already put money down torent buses from all over the United States. Lots of money lost all the way around. The activity called WinterGuard International has been forced to close all the Regional Championships leading up to Dayton. My owntown, West Chester, is all shut down. My daughterworks at West Chester Univ. as a student activitiescoordinator. They sent all the kids home so there isno activities until Summer of longer. So she too is working from home with not much to do. I applaudthe Hamvention people for canceling, but I don't thinkthey had many choices when the government actuallywas the one that shut it all down. And for me, I have been sheltering in place because four policemen herein town have come down with it. It was only two yearsago I have a heart valve replacement.
