Calling all GCARC members -
the ARRL allows a club competition category, in addition to individual
scoring, for the Jan18 (1900Z) - Jan 20 (0359Z) VHF (6 meters and up)
contest - and I'd like to help GCARC enter.
But there is a catch.
We need at least 3 club members to submit scores.- and the ARRL needs a
list of likely participants (along with their 6-digit grid squares) to be
registered before the contest begins.
So who can help us out?
You can make contacts from your home or the from the clubhouse, which is
where Al and I have talked about operating at least some of the time from.
Curious about how far a 2 meter signal can travel without repeaters? I am.
Let's find out together using the great antennas out at our clubhouse!
First time operators welcome.
I just need to know who might be interested, so can get you registered.
Please email me directly at jim.n2gxj at gmail.com if you might be able to
help us out by tossing a couple of points the club's way.
Thank you!
Jim Wright, N2GXJ, grid FM29kr
