All,
Wednesday, August 5, 2020 is our monthly General Membership ZOOM Meeting @
1930 Hours. The meeting host will send an e-mail out to all members with the
log-on instructions.
Monday night is the weekly 10M Rag Chew Net on 28.475 MHz @ 2000 Hours.
Thursday night is the weekly 2M Rag Chew Net @ 2000 Hours. It is on the 2M
repeater and EchoLink W2MMD-R. I will be the net control operator this week.
If anyone would like to be an alternating net control operator for this net,
just let me know.
The Tech Saturday is cancelled this month and so is the VE session on August
13th.
I was just watching the SpaceX Dragon splashdown and admired how smooth
everything went, bringing the capsule onboard the ship and getting the
astronauts out. It was not always that easy. I remember back in the Mercury
days, after the capsule splash downed, they would send a raft out to pluck
John Glenn out of ocean.
One of the SpaceX astronauts, Bob Behnken, is a ham - KE5GGX. That's a long
way to go for a DXpedition HIHI.
Thanks
D. Jeffrey Garth
