[GCARC] Hello from a new member

I wanted to thank the board and everyone involved in approving my application for membership. Also, a thank you to Mike, N2SRO for sponsoring me.
I look forward to meeting everyone after the lockdown has subsided and being actively involved in club activities. 
Shortly after submitting my application to our club,  I received an email confirming my membership to the ARRL too.
I've  always enjoyed listening to amateur radio as a kid, and was amazed by being able to hear people from great distances away.  After retiring as chief of police from the Westville police department I felt it would be a great way of spending some time by getting involved in the amateur hobby.  
Hope to talk to everyone soon on the airwaves!  Stay safe everyone.
