All,

Well another Hamfest is in the books! I hope the early morning rain did not
deter too many from coming.

 

Friday, September 20, 2019, is the deadline for articles for the October
2019 CrossTalk.

 

Wednesday is our monthly Board of Directors Meeting @ 1900 Hours at the
W2MMD Clubhouse. All members are welcome.

 

Don't forget the 10M Rag Chew Net on Tuesday night and the 2M Rag Chew Net
on Thursday night. Both @ 2000 Hours.

 

A special thank you to Peter Harow, W2QB. He built a code oscillator for the
QLF key. He brought it the Clubhouse on Saturday. He noticed that the grass
was not cut. So he went home and brought back his riding mower on a trailer.
In less than a few hours time, he had cut most of the tall grass on our
property. And he said just gave him a call if it needs cutting again. The
same trailer was used to transport equipment to and from the Hamfest.

 

The reason I did not go to the Hamfest is I fell off the Clubhouse steps on
Saturday. I was coming out the door and using the 2 x 4 handrail to support
myself when it broke. I remember hearing and feeling it crack. The next
thing I know I was sitting on the bench, there was a cop and an ambulance
there and all these people talking to me. I am fine, nothing broken, just a
little sore.
