I agree. I have the 55 Zoom and it is very nice and does not eat batteries.
Now...if you are technically inclined, there is a 2-port vector network
analyzer family coming from China that will sweep filters and measure all
the antenna parameters, Smith chart, etc. up o 900MHz. It's called the
nanovna and costs about $50. It is very small, uses SMA connectors, which
are adaptable to anything. It needs to put into a case, selling for about
$15 on Ebay. For about $140, a larger version has a metal case, called the
nanvna-F. I have both kinds and they work really well. But you have to wait
for the boat from China, takes about 3 weeks to get one. Ali Express carries
them. I have to admit that the Rig Expert Zoom series is very easy to read
and operate without much learning curve and you don't have to wait for it.
How did we do without these things 40 years ago?

Subject: [GCARC] Rig Expert Antenna Analyzers
Greetings All,
I just noticed that HRO has every model of Rig Expert Antenna Analyzers on
sale, now thru Saturday. The AA-55 Zoom at $279 is an exceptional value,
covering HF thru 6 meters. I have the AA-230 Zoom and it is my favorite
tool in the shack. I have come to believe that no ham shack in the 21st
century should be without one of these hand held wonders. If you buy one
you will not regret it.
