[GCARC] Rainbow Island

Good Evening All,


This might be short notice but on March 30th I have notified the USIslands.org awards program that W2MMD will qualify Rainbow Island for their program.  As you may know, this is a two-step process of qualification and activation.  This would be the first of the two visits.  Rainbow Island is located between Somers Point and Ocean City on the causeway at the fishing pier.  Parking is free and open to the public.   The site will require vertical antennas of some kind since there are no trees in that space to set up dipoles.   The weather, according to Accuweather, is close 70 degrees and sunny for that day.  Let me know if you are interested.  I was planning on starting around 10:30 am and working for about 4 hours but there is no limit on how long we can stay.
