[GCARC] 25th Anniversary Commemorative Membership Certificate

To those of you who were members back in 1984, do you a 25th anniversary
commemorative membership certificate? They were handed out at the April 4,
1984 meeting. I would like to have a copy for our history files.

 

Speaking of our 25th anniversary, the Club was presented by the ARRL with
our 25 years of service award at the 1984 hamfest. Does anyone know where a
copy of it might be? Also, I am looking for our 50th anniversary ARRL award
that we should have gotten in 2010.

 

According to the ARRL website, the ARRL awards certificates to affiliated
clubs for every 25 years of service. We became affiliated in 1960. We are
due two of those, 1985 and 2010. I have contacted the ARRL about these
awards, but they say the division directors and section managers at the time
should have submitted us for the awards. I will be contacting our new
section manager and/or division director about this oversight.
