Our June Board of Directors Meeting is happening on Wednesday, June 19, 2019
@ 1900 Hours at our W2MMD Clubhouse. All members are welcome.

 

Thursday, June 20, 2019, is the deadline for articles for the July 2019
CrossTalk.

 

Don't forget the Tuesday night 10M Rag Chew Net and the Thursday night 2M
Rag Chew Net. Both @ 2000 Hours.

 

Last Thursday night's 2M Rag Chew Net started out slow as usual, but got
very busy when Steve KB2RTZ interrupted with an emergency Skywarn Net
because of the severe storms and tornado warnings. As it turned out, there
were two confirmed tornados in Gloucester County and some straight line
winds in Salem County. A lot of hams called in weathers reports during net.
Just shows how important our 2M repeater is to not just our Club members,
but to the region. So keep participating in the all the 2M nets (Skywarn &
ARES/RACES net on Sunday nights) and the Rag Chew Net.

 

Oh, Yeah, FIELD DAY!!! This weekend is Field Day 2019! Come on out! You
don't have to operate if you don't want to, but come on out to help set
things up.

 

We are going to need people to help set up tables, chairs, trash cans, and
get the BBQ out of the shed.

 

We are going to need people to help set up extension cords, guy wires,
antennas and tents.

 

Come out and see the fire pit that Lee N2LAM built for our annual pig roast
(we are HAMs, right!) HIHI.

 

So, come on out! And yes, you will be fed! There will be a Saturday lunch
(hoagies provided by Wayne WA2LET & picked up by Lee N2LAM, thank you
both!). A Saturday evening dinner and a Sunday morning breakfast. A big
thank you in advance to those who will be bringing some side dishes and
desserts.
