Tuesday, November 20, 2018, is the deadline for articles for the December
2018 Crosstalk. I have gotten a lot of articles from Club members this year
and I thank all of you. But I would still like some more "Show Us Your
Shack" articles. Just a few sentences and a picture is all you need to
submit. And if any of you get any contest certificates, please scan them and
send them to me. It seems Ken N2CQ is the only one who gets certificates,
but I am sure a lot of other Club members get them too. So send them in! Be
proud of your accomplishment!

 

I would also like to see some articles from the women in our Club. What is
it like to be a female ham in what appears to be a male dominated hobby? Why
do you become a ham?

 

Many veteran Club members will remember Rose Ellen Bills N2RE and Marla
Bozarth N2DWR who used to write many articles for Crosstalk. At one time,
Rose was president of the YLRL (Young Ladies' Radio League). She had a
regular column for Crosstalk called "Le Belles" and she was our Club
president in 1980. Rose was the first of four women Club presidents between
1980 and 1995. The others were Virginia Martin N2FJM in 1987, Beth Barnish
KB2EAL, and Marla Bozarth N3DWR in 1992 and 1995.

 

The Board of Directors Meeting has been postponed until Wednesday, November
28, 2018.

 

Don't forget the Tuesday night 10M net and the Thursday night 2M net. Last
Thursday's 2M net lasted over 2 hours. FB to all who participated.

 

Since this Thursday is Thanksgiving, I don't know if there will be a 2M net.
Herb will have to let everyone know. HINT HINT!
