The most widely read ham news for dxpeditions is 
<kb8nw at barf80.nshore.org>
They have a nice weekly dx newsletter and they have a specific section on IOTA/USIA activations/operations.
Drop them an email with the announcement now and they will keep it active several weeks if you request it.

I imagine the USIA folks would be good too at www.usisland.org . Petty Island is NJ-010 for its designator. That should be in all announcements as well as the fact it is being activated for the first time.
