[GCARC] Petty's Island

Good Morning All,


We are a month out, minus 1 day, for Petty's Island and I think it would be a good time to get an idea of the team who is going to take on this project.  I also need a firm list of names to provide to NJ Audubon for security purposes.  We can work any band and any mode, including AMSAT contacts, to make 25 QSOs that are required under the rules of the US Islands Awards program.  Repeater contacts will not count.  Two of the contacts must be DX and Mexico/Canada do count towards that number.  Those who are on board MUST be at the guard shack at 8am, sharp, on the Pennsauken side of the bridge (N. 36th Street) since we are only permitted escorted access to the property.  After 8am, no one will be able to get on the island.  All operations will be emergency/battery/solar powered.  There are no rest rooms on the island.  We will be on, or about, 14.230, 7.180 and 21.280 and will start operations at 1330 UTC.  However, we could work additional bands if there are enough people.  I have asked Gordon West to promote our expedition on Dec 5th Ham Nation.


I have to turn the list in to NJ Audubon on November 16th. Please advise before that date to be signed up.
